Moving a modpack from Fabric to NeoForge

For Minecraft 26.3, using the snapshot of Oct 15, 2026. Most people switch because one or two mods they want exist only on NeoForge. Here is what the switch costs.

How much of Fabric comes along

Of the top 300 Fabric mods on Modrinth, 147 (49%) also have a NeoForge release for 26.3. 34 have a 26.3 release on Fabric but none on NeoForge. The rest are not on 26.3 on either loader yet, so they would block you on Fabric too.

Running Fabric mods on NeoForge

Sinytra Connector loads many Fabric mods on NeoForge, together with Forgified Fabric API. It is a compatibility layer, so test each mod you rely on. For 26.3 its status is: not updated yet.

Your worlds

Back up the instance and open a copy of the world first. Blocks and items from a mod survive the switch only if its NeoForge build is loaded and uses the same IDs, which the same mod usually does. Anything that came from a Fabric-only mod you left behind will be missing.

Check your own pack

The analyzer with NeoForge preselected marks every mod in your Fabric pack: ready on NeoForge, NeoForge build available, Fabric only, or not on 26.3 at all.
